Drummer and percussionist Diego Kiner brings a modern, melodic approach to orchestration and groove,

propelling bands from driving rock to deep-pocket funk to traditional or contemporary jazz. His abilities to support whisper-quiet jazz ballads or channel bombastic energy into psychedelic jams make him an in-demand sideman in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Born to a family of artists and musicians, Diego has honed this versatility since he picked up the sticks at the age of 7. He has developed his sound under the mentorship of renowned Bay Area musicians and improvisers, including Myra Melford, Ted Moore, Frank Martin, Glenn Richman, and Lisa Mezzacappa.

Diego continues to chase expressivity and musicality by striking various round objects.
